Happy Easter

We got these gifts (chocolate rabbit and hot cross buns) at work for the Easter celebration. For those who don’t know, Easter is a celebration day for resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD.

For practicing Christians Easter marks the biggest, most breath taking celebration of the year!

Although there’s a bit of different in muslim’s view on how and when Jesus died but here’s an iinteresting verse in Quran (Surah 19, Maryam, verse 33) that refers to what Jesus said shortly after his birth:

“So Peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)”

May Allah help us to find the path to the truth and become true followers of the messengers of Allah, who had the same message for mankind according to my understanding of Islam… to submit to and worship the creator of universe and do good to His creation by living a moral life.

As a muslim I love Jesus as the messenger of Allah before prophet Mohammad (peace be upon both of them) and celebrate Easter with my dear Christian brothers and sisters.
